"Jackpot judgment" is a convenient rhetorical fiction. Judgments are issued by courts based upon the findings of juries. Is the Wall Street Journal's position on this that juries simply can't be trusted to sort it out? So were our founders wrong to create the right to trial by jury? If so, why are legislatures that make one-size-fits-all rules better suited to to the task? Hate to be too snarky, but I can't help but wonder whether it's because one can be bought by lobby dollars and one cannot? Or are there legitimate differences?.
We have yet to discuss it with him, but DH has an unmarried (gay) cousin who we think would be the best match. Obviously we will have a conversation with him before we make anything official.
